ALDO x RISE

The Pioneer in luxury 360 story-telling

To appeal to a more fashion “in-the-know” shopper, ALDO created a high-fashion collab collection with up-and-coming designers (at the time) to provide them with a mega platform in terms of audience reach and production scale.

Collaborators like JW Anderson, Mark Fast, Preen, Misha Noonoo and Ostwald Helgason got to extend their runway shows with bespoke, affordable footwear sold in flagship stores across the world – and 360 glossy content across zine-style look books, OOH campaigns with top models, below-the-line content all shot by top fashion photography bloggers like Tommy Ton and The Coveteur, PR coverage from publishers like Vogue and Elle, and more.

There was so much. And ALDO was ahead of its time in luxury branded content, from collection to campaign, content and retail.

Runway collections

Our storytelling starts with the inception collection. Designers dream up the shoes, as they dream the collection — and our team was right there with them.

Look-books

High-fashion is always accompanied with look-books, except these were editorially produced.

Zine

It was niche to know JW Anderson back then, let alone Mark Fast, Preen (as featured), Ostwald Helgason, and more.

The zine helped humanize the designers’ creative genius for further appreciation for the collection.

Packaging

We elevated the packaging to reflect a more premium collection to create hype for these collab drops.

Global 360 Campaign

The rise collection also got featured in ALDO’s seasonal campaign, shot by Terry Richardson, and outfitted by top models — and featured in a major media buy, from coveted OOH placements like Chateau Marmont, to Youtube pre-rolls.

Global PR coverage

The buzz around each season was insane. Think every major publication, from Harper’s Bazaar to Elle UK, to Refinery and The Coveteur, and every fashion blogger on the planet.

I was there for so all three of the Preen seasons and Ostwald Helgason. Here’s more of my favorite glossy editorials.
